With Brian Eno’s Another Green World opening area, empty-bottle-floating-in-the-water-with-a-message-in-it, that is Jackson Pollock Microphone, “Anonymous Content presents an Arena Film for The Andrew Douglas Company and Lone Star Productions…,”
the trailer for a seemingly autobiographical, this week’s showcase featuring Jim White, “a musicians return to the Deep South to confront his muse,” Jackson Pollock Microphone, this Thursday, September 25, 2025, at The Secret Garden.
“When life doesn’t have a lot of pleasures to offer you, you gotta do something… Even if it’s something wrong,” said White (in the trailer).
It’s easy to point out how technical jargon can produce one of the coolest, area happenstances this side of recent Murfreesboro history, even revealing an onion of coolness peeled back to its simplest form: A warm, family gathering in the backyards of area-producers, and owners/operators of local record label/audio design and sound engineering company, Jackson Pollock Microphone, with “American singer-songwriter, record producer, visual artist and author,” Jim White, playing Jackson Pollock Microphone’s The Secret Garden (Steve’s house), right in the [Southern-most] middle-of-town, 1810 Diana St.
Show starts at “dark:30” (or, 7:30, as mentioned), a few blocks away at Century 21 Music and More, across from the MTSU Rugby field, South MTSU campus’ Main St.

Jackson Pollock Microphone:
As the professional lingo describing the concept area-stirs up interest for these occasions, sometimes channeling through a LaMure / Liquid Smoke route, and with follow-ups from locals such as Ben Reptar, of MSG Prints, Still Satellite and Bucket City Mouthwash’s new, Tuesday night, Liquid Smoke, soft-punx crowd, asking, “Where and what da heck was this[?],” as well as flyers found on the door of next-to-JPM, Century 21 Music & More, happenstance-bridging a coincidentally close-distance between an affiliated punk scene sponsor (Boro Fondo 2025) and the event location.
“You can go into any one of these places, and you can hear the best story or the saddest story in your life,” Jim White said.
“The Devil cannot read yo’ mind.”

Steve Ward’s The Secret Garden opens as a Prop’r Gand’r art gallery featuring Ward’s works, with lights, audio, and mixing work done by Rick Hawkins, recording the showcases, outside.
“Parking while be a thing .. I would come around 615 ish .. park on […] street .. carpool if you know others .” Rick said.

Rick Hawkins’ backyard, JPM HQ, thru lore, is located in the Black Fox/S. Rutherford area, on Foxdale, just several blocks farther behind Steve’s The Secret Garden.
For videos of the latest JPM HQ showcase, Murf.’s Spongebath Records-era, The Katie’s Gary Welch’s newest EP, They Got Wolves Up There!, visit They Got Wolves Up There! for the studio version out of Twin Oak Studios, Murfreesboro, and for Welch’s live, debut version, B. E. Harmon – YouTube, with powerhouse, new Twin Oak studio musician trio, Casey Strength, Aaron Swisher, and Jason Dietz, joining Welch, vocalist Lizette Kehrer, Self’s Jason Rawlings, and Jeff Keeran. There are two separate EP’s, between the drastically different sounds of the studio and live versions, as interesting synergy.
And while Rick and Steve do wild stuff in the name of cool-Murf, onion material, Jim White does cool stuff like this:

“Man, they got some good garbage, here… This is my kind of road,” White said in the trailer (up top), during Rick’s mention of Jim White’s Jackson Pollock Microphone showcase, the week of Sept. 25, 2025.
